Flanged gate valve, UL/FM approved for fire protection applications to max. 70°C water temperature. AWWA rated working pressure 250 psi for all sizes, UL rated working pressure 200 PSI for DN400 & DN 350, and 250 PSI for the below remaining sizes
AVK gate valves are designed with build-in safety in every detail. The wedge is fully vulcanized with AVK´s own drinking water approved EPDM rubber compound. It features an outstanding durability due to the ability of the rubber to regain its original shape, the double bonding vulcanization process and the sturdy wedge design.The trible safety stem sealing system, the high strength stem and the thorough corrosion protection safeguard reliability.

Features
- Fixed, integral wedge nut prevents vibration and ensures durability
- Ductile iron wedge core fully vulcanized with EPDM rubber and no iron parts exposed to the medium; the excellent rubber vulcanization prevents creeping corrosion underneath the rubber
- Guides in the wedge and on the valve body prevent overloading of the stem and ensure a uniform closure and safe operation
- Large conical stem hole in the wedge prevents stagnant water
- Stem in high strength alu-bronze C63020 with rolled treads
- Stem sealing with a wiper ring, two upper O-rings in a polyamide bearing and one lower O-ring as the main stem seal
- Round bonnet gasket fixed in a recess to reduce risk of blow-out
- Bonnet bolts in A4 stainless steel, counterbored, sealed with hot melt and encircled by the bonnet gasket
- Full bore and clear way
- Brass thrust bearing for low operating torque
- Fusion bonded epoxy coating to DIN 3476, red RAL 3000
