AVK Group acquires Bayard and Belgicast

Last October 9, 2023, the AVK Group acquired 100% interest in the Bayard and Belgicast Group of companies with businesses in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and China.
Belgicast Group Info
Belgicast has been a prominent Spanish valve producer since 1957, specializing in the water sector, which includes drinking water, wastewater, water distribution networks and desalination. Belgicast manufactures a durable, wide range of products which includes hydrants, gate valves, butterfly valves, pressure control and regulation valves, and other accessories including universal flanges, couplings, tapping saddles.
Its main headquarters and manufacturing facility of resilient seated gate valve is in Mungia Vizcaya, Spain. In addition, the company also has a manufacturing plant for butterfly valves and check valves at Los Yébenes, Toledo, which serves as the center of excellence for desalination projects.

Bayard has been a committed French player in the industry since 1881, providing wide range of products and technologies in the water sector planning, building, managing and replacement of water networks. They also manufacture primary products such as fire hydrants, gate valves, check valves, control and regulation valves, and other water accessories.
Moreover, both businesses will continue to operate its manufacturing facilities and head office in Shanghai (China) Mungia and Toledo (Spain) Meyzieu (France).
AVK Chairman and Group Director for AVK Water, Morten Saedrup Nielsen, welcomed the Bayard and Belgicast companies into the growing AVK Family. He also state that these acquisition has a huge potential and will significantly strengthen AVK’s position in several markets and business segments within AVK Water sectors and desalination technology.
